Eligibility Requirements

Category:    Registered Builder

Description:   A person who holds an accredited B.Sc/B.Tech Building degree after obtaining a professional experience of FOUR years, has passed through the prescribed procedure and is registered as such by the Council.

Eligibility Requirements:

Direct Absorption Academic Qualifications
B.Sc./B.Tech degree in Building/Building Technology & Possess minimum of four years professional practice experience of & Pass professional screening procedure conducted by CORBON including:
  1. Submission of application through CORBON online Registration Portal.
  2. Certificate of experience evidencing professional competency profile.
  3. Completion of 20 Continuous Professional Development units.
  4. NYSC certificate or exemption certificate.
 Registration as Builder or related professionals approved by Council from internationally recognised professional Building Councils or institutions & Pass professional procedure conducted by CORBON including:
  1. Submission of application through CORBON online Registration Portal.
  2. Submission of certified true copy of recognized Building Council certificate (e.g., Chartered Builder, CIOB, Professional Builder) and academic transcript.
  3. Submission of evidence of membership or certification from an internationally recognised building institution e.g CIOB.
  4. Completion of 20 Continuous Professional Development units.
  1. CORBON accredited B.Sc/ B.Tech in Building.
  2. HND in Building + CORBON accredited PGD in Building, with 2 years certified post-PGD experience.
  3. HND in Building + CORBON accredited B.Sc/B.Tech in Building, with 2 years certified post- B.Sc/B.Tech experience.
  4. HND in Building + M.Sc/M.Tech in approved building related field with 2 years’ post M.Sc/M.Tech experience.
  5. B.Sc (Science) + M.Sc/M.Tech in approved building related field + 10 years certified postgraduate building experience and not less than 50 years old.
  6. Advanced National Certificate (ANC) + B.Sc/B.Tech Building.
  7. CORBON Registered Building Technologist with M.Sc/M.Tech in approved building related field, registrable after one year of certified experience post MSc/M.Tech.
